The process

How a job runs

Every job follows the same five steps, in the same order.

  1. Walkthrough

We come look before we price it. We check truck access, the trees and fences you’re keeping, the septic tank, the well, and overhead power lines.

  2. Permits

Inside city limits, we’ll walk you through getting the demolition permit first. Utilities get shut off and capped, and the asbestos question gets settled before anything comes down.

  3. Teardown

The excavator brings it down, and we set metal aside for scrap. Anything you flagged stays protected.

  4. Haul-off

We load the debris and haul it to a landfill or recycler. We keep the disposal receipts.

  5. Final grade

We’ll take out the slab if you want it, fill the holes, and grade the lot smooth. An old septic tank gets pumped, and we backfill it.

FAQ

Common questions

Quick answers here. The guides have the details.

Do I need a permit to tear down a house in Bastrop?

Yes, inside Bastrop city limits, the city requires a demolition permit and takes about 14 working days to review an accepted application. We’ll walk you through the city’s checklist, and you can check the permits guide for Elgin and Smithville’s own permits and rules outside city limits.

Can you take down an old mobile home?

Yes, we handle mobile home removal for single-wides and double-wides, tearing them down where they sit. Texas treats a scrapped manufactured home as salvaged, so the owner files updated title paperwork with the state.

What happens to the old septic tank?

If nobody will use the septic tank again, the state’s septic rule calls for a registered hauler to pump it out, and then we backfill it to ground level. If a new house will use it, leave it and have it checked.

How much does it cost to demolish a house?

Angi’s 2026 guide puts a typical house teardown at $6,000 to $25,000 nationally. We price yours after we see it, and you can read the house demolition cost guide for more on costs.

Will you haul off a pile we didn't tear down?

Yes, we do debris haul-off for piles we didn’t tear down. That includes remodel leftovers, construction debris, scrap metal, old fencing, and a barn’s worth of junk.
